LTC is a legal permit that allows both residents and non-residents of Texas to carry guns in most public places. Non-residents must be residents of other US states.
Can non-residents get an LTC in Texas?
Non-residents in Texas are allowed to obtain a License to Carry permit. However, the permit must be issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Additionally, the applicant must also be a legal resident of any other US state or be planning to relocate to Texas with the intention of establishing residency.
Who can get an LTC in Texas?
In Texas, if you’re 21 or older, you can usually get an LTC. But if you’re 18-20, you might still be able to get a permit under certain conditions or under special order.
